Our New Heywood Hall Nursery will be ready for Little Explorers in late 2024/Early 2025.
Located next door to St. Augustines school and church.
Our gorgeous building was a former schoolhouse designed by George Frederick Bodley, one of the foremost gothic architects during the mid - late 19th Century. The build was funded by Edward Stanley Heywood and built in 1874. He paid for the construction of the church and related buildings for the benefit of the local community. Heywood came from a family of influential and wealthy Manchester bankers, Brothers & Co. one of Manchester’s most prominent banks.
It will be celebrating its 150th birthday as part of our open day later this year.
